Animals Rescued & Treated
Dogs & Cats Sterilized
Why vegan? We firmly believe that killing one set of animals to save another is not just hypocritical, it is harmful to the planet and humans as well.
Hence we took a conscious decision that we will serve only vegan food for not just our patients, but our team and guests too. In addition to adopting vegan and sustainable practices (like our own vegetable gardens) we have included vegan awareness campaigns in our community outreach programs.
Our rescue hours are from 10 am-6 pm. However, the admission facility, for homeless animals in distress, is available outside of our rescue hours as well.
We run a Clinic, with full time veterinarians, vet assistants, surgery & pharmacy, for homeless as well as companion animals.
Raahat is also a Life Sanctuary for special needs animals, case 'property' and lifetime care animals.
Rescue Service, from 10 AM to 6 PM, for animals in Dehradun.

Raahat (peace and comfort) was started with the objective of providing peace and comfort to all animals in distress. We work to improve the lives of animals in our community and beyond. All our programmes are driven by our belief in the intrinsic dignity and sanctity of animal life.
Raahat Animal Hospital & Sanctuary is spread on a campus of 1 acre. The property is privately owned by the organization
Help Animals India
We wish to acknowledge the support extended to Raahat, its team, and the innumerable animals that have passed through here by Help Animals India and its founder Eileen Weintraub. Their unstinting love and support have been key in helping us get where we are today.
